Our new Leadership Framework In May we launched our new leadership framework which sets out the values, principles and
behaviours that are expected to be an effective leader at The Christie.
It comprises 10 dimensions which apply to leaders at all levels across the Trust. It links directly to the NHS Healthcare Leadership Model and The Christie Commitment, and also takes account of The Christie culture and collective leadership assessment carried out in 2017. Jo Ann Hughes, Head of Talent, commented: “The development of a leadership framework is a key component of our Trust leadership plan. The framework comprises simplified leadership dimensions which can be easily recognised. It will be used in a range of workforce activities including the recruitment of new leaders, as well as supporting feedback and personal development for our leaders.”
Rounders round-up The annual rounders tournament was held in August at the South West Manchester Cricket Club. Twelve teams, from a cross section of departments, competed to get to the final. The event was a great combination of competition and fun with a chance to socialise and meet other teams. All displayed a high standard of batting and fielding with the Finance team, Rounding Errors, taking home the trophy. The enthusiastic runners-up were the proton team, Brokebat Mountain.
