use. Staff involved in the cleaning and decontamination of medical devices and/or environments undergo appropriate training which is supported by associated policies. The IPC Board Assurance Framework has been reviewed and evidence of assessments available and discussed at trust board. Previous versions of the IPC BAF have been presented at Trust Board in May 2020, July 2020, November 2020 and February 2021. Outbreaks are managed at daily outbreak meetings and have divisional and executive oversight. Those related to COVID-19 are also reported on the national outbreak system. Root cause analysis is undertaken after each outbreak with actions and learning that is shared trust wide and reported through the trust’s governance structure. The trust has adequate supplies of a range of predominantly UK made FFP3 masks as demonstrated in the centrally held Face fit testing register. See Face fit testing register – accessed 14/01/22.

The IPC Board Assurance Framework is reviewed, and evidence of assessments are made available and discussed at Trust board. The Trust Board has oversight of ongoing outbreaks and action plans.

The Trust is not reliant on a particular mask type and ensure that a range of predominantly UK Make FFP3 masks are available to users as required.
