Norton Barrie host an annual golf day at Northenden Golf Club every year for The Christie. July 2018 marked the 10th anniversary of the celebration and the day was a huge success. Thank you to owner Blake Norton who continues to raise money in memory of his dad Barry. 10. TEE OFF FOR THE CHRISTIE

11. IT’S KOOL FOR LANKYKATS Thanks go to the Lankykats Collective for choosing us as one of its beneficiary charities for a second year. The Lankykats organises rock and roll gigs around the North West for bands that were around in the 50s, 60s and 70s to take to the stage again. The bands play for free and all proceeds are awarded to local charities through an Annual Lankykat Support Award (ALSA). The ALSA award is used to support music therapy sessions on our teenage & young adult unit.

12. THE OTHER BOAT RACE! Manchester Home Team has been holding the Northenden Boat Race in support of The Christie for 12 years. The Northenden Boat Race takes place every August and everyone from the local community joins together to watch or take part in the boat race. The group holds a bucket collection and offers refreshments in return for a donation to The Christie.

INCREDIBLE £¼ MILLION TARGET REACHED 13 Joyce and John Shacklock raise donations in memory of their son Daniel. This year they have reached a fundraising target of £250,000 which was their goal, started back in 1995. Congratulations and thank you for your incredible support.
