Course title: Adapting Chair Massage for Hospice and Cancer Care

Dates/Times: Saturday 9th - 10th December 2023

Course description: This 2 - day course is designed for massage therapists who want to expand their skills in massage therapy, enabling them to work safely and effectively with people with cancer and/or other complex/life - threatening conditions. We will explore safe and creative ways of adapting massage therapy whilst gaining an understanding of the rationale for adapted work for clients at all stages of a cancer journey, whether on active treatment, living beyond, or alongside supportive and end of life care. As a teaching team we are committed to providing a knowledge base that can be contextualised to suit a variety of different environments. Prerequisite : Level 3 Massage Therapy diploma or equivalent and at least six month ’ s therapeutic practice.
