Maintain operational stability by managing staff enquiries through the Tech Bar, upgrading systems and infrastructure, and ordering and deploying equipment etc. Head of Digital Delivery The Head of Digital Delivery post was backfilled (due to interim CIO appointment). The backfill by an experienced senior leader has led to progress on key delivery initiatives being maintained.
EUC architecture review
A review of the trust’s approach to EUC has been commissioned with our partner SoftCat. The review will outline areas where the EUC architecture needs to improve. Digital Services are in the middle of a ‘once in a career’ move of our on-premises data centre to a co-located data centre. The period within the interim objectives were the most critical and despite many challenges the project has continued on a course to complete. The Tech Bar have improved their operational statistics and reporting during the last 6 months. A dashboard now shows a backlog tracker and first-time fix rate. Both statistics have a KPI and are reported on monthly. The CSAT (customer satisfaction) survey continues to provide a customer satisfaction score and great qualitative feedback.

8. Maintain the workforce in terms of wellbeing, recruitment to vacancies, PDR, and essential training compliance PDR compliance PDR compliance has been turned around from 76% at the start of the interim CIO period to 94% in February 2022 Essential Training Compliance Essential training compliance has remained high with over 95% compliance in every month of the interim period
Vacancies recruited to
All vacancies have been recruited to, including some long-standing vacancies. A vacancy review was undertaken unearthing some unknow vacancies that can be recruited to. The staff forum have continued to engage digital services staff, including a virtual Christmas party, a cancer trust awards ceremony. Future events are planned including a Digital Showcase event over the summer.
