Health & Wellbeing Buddies The network of health and wellbeing buddies, although still active, has seen a very low uptake. This is being reviewed with a view to refreshing this Network in the coming months to align with some of the national activity regarding Health and Wellbeing Champions. Staff Health & Wellbeing Twitter Account The staff health and wellbeing Twitter account continues to be actively used as another method of increasing engagement and communication around staff health and wellbeing. The Twitter account is promoting staff health and wellbeing, sharing updates and letting staff know of the support available to help them manage their health and wellbeing. The account currently has around 240 followers and work is on-going to increase followership. Restaurant Digital Screen Slides are updated each week on the digital screen in the Staff Restaurant on the main hospital site with a variety of engagement and health and wellbeing content. This provides an on-going and additional way to promote health and wellbeing messages and communications with staff. NHS Staff Survey 2021 The NHS Staff Survey 2021 closed on 26 th November 2021. The focus for the 2021 survey is ‘we each have a voice that counts.’ It is anticipated that the NHS Staff Survey 2021 results and benchmarking reports will be published nationally in February-March 2022. The results are embargoed until a specific date in either February or March 2022 which is yet to be confirmed. Full and robust action plans will then be developed collaboratively with divisions to ensure that the organisation feeds back the results effectively to staff and continues to develop engagement mechanisms to make improvements to the organisation. Divisional packs will be prepared and disseminated in March-April 2022 in order to understand the impact on each division at a local level. Pause and Refresh: Lunchtime Mindfulness Sessions The Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Team, in conjunction with the Engagement & OD Team are planning a twelve-week programme of lunchtime mindfulness, meditation and self-awareness sessions starting w/c 10 January 2022. Sessions will run for 10 minutes and will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtime starting at 12:45pm. The programme will be varied whilst maintaining a common thread and will continue to be held through MS Teams. Wellbeing Advisors Emergency COVID-19 recovery funding has been successfully secured to appoint two Wellbeing Advisors (on a job share basis) until the end of March 2022. The Wellbeing Advisors will provide additional roaming and virtual support to individuals and teams. One Wellbeing Advisor started in December 2021 and the second Wellbeing Advisor is joining the team in January 2022.
