Public Board of Directors papers 27.01.22

reported in the trust wide daily sitrep/operational huddle. See trust wide sitrep / operational huddle slides 11/01/22 and Flu Vaccination Policy. The trust flu vaccination for 2021/22 commenced on the 27th September. As of the 18/01/22 a total of 84% of all staff had received a flu vaccination. See Flu and COVID-19 vaccination stats 18/01/22. The roll out of the COVID-19 vaccination programme has been received positively with 91% of all staff fully vaccinated. This was cascaded trust wide at a ‘Grand Round’ on COVID-19 Vaccination on 14/01/22 ahead of mandatory vaccines for staff undertaking CQC regulated activities. Staff have access to confidential advice from the vaccination, pharmacy and workforce teams and medical colleagues about their personal circumstances and concerns relating to display any myths associated with the vaccine. Due to the role of mandatory COVID-19 for CQC regulated health and social care staff a review process of all staff has been undertaken to establish those that are ‘in or out of scope’ for a mandatory vaccine and a series of frequently ask questions has been distributed trust wide to support staff in their understanding in this change of regulations. These are also accessible on the trust intranet. See Mandatory Vaccination FAQs 13/01/22. Staff that have recovered from a respiratory pathogen and/or have been vaccinated continue to follow IPC and PPE precautions in line with trusts biosecurity measures and national guidance.

• lead on the implementation of systems to monitor staff illness, absence and vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 • encourage staff vaccine uptake

Staff who have had and recovered from or have received vaccination for a specific respiratory pathogen continue to follow the infection control precautions, including PPE, as outlined in national guidance.
