The trust has introduced as part of the domestic team, dedicated resource to focus on high-frequency touch points in wards, departments, and public areas which require regular cleaning to minimise the risk of spread of infection. Functional areas within the trust have been re- categorised to a higher risk rating against the 2021 national cleaning standards, requiring such areas to be cleaned more frequently.

Deep cleans are completed by a specialist team adhering to the following process dependent on clean ’type’ required: • Manual Clean with Chlorine Based Agent and HPV Decontamination • Manual Clean with Chlorine Based Agent and UV-C Decontamination • Manual Clean Only with Chorine Based Agent • Deep cleans are recorded and checked by domestic supervisory team, records are maintained within the department and presented at ICPT meeting See Deep Clean & Disinfection checklist and Master copy for Side Rooms and Bed Spaces, The Christie Proxcide 091 report April- June and The Christie UV report 076.
