4.1 - Healthcare Associated Infections

There were 2 cases of C-Difficile, 5 cases of E-Coli, 2 cases of Klebsiella, 1 case of Pseudomonas and 2 cases of MSSA in December that were deemed attributable to the Trust. No lapses in care have been identified.

Definitions COCA - Cdiff: Is not categorised HOHA and the patient has not been discharged from the same reporting organisation in the 84 days prior to the specimen date (where day 1 is the specimen date) E.coli, Klebs, Pseudo, MSSA, MRSA: Is not categorised HOHA and the patient has not been discharged from the same reporting organisation in the 28 days prior to the specimen date (where day 1 is the specimen date)
