With regards to CQUINS for NHS Acute Trusts we have chosen to adopt CCG1: Staff flu vaccinations. We consistently achieve the required target and participate in national reporting of our compliance. There will also be the requirement to submit a report in September 2021 outlining our vaccination plans and a report in December explaining any deviations from that plan.

6. Preparedness As we enter the post pandemic recovery phase, there is an organisational requirement to focus on our preparedness for a future CQC inspection in line with the principles of the strategy summarised above. This is particularly apparent in relation to organisational leadership and the Well-Led elements of previous inspection frameworks. There are several proposals for a Board Development programme for 2022/23 including internally and externally led development training and key organisational priorities These include: • Freedom To Speak Up Board training • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda • Planning & strategy / corporate governance & new models • Board service review day with clinical leaders from across the Trust • Joint Board & Council of Governors session • Mandatory Training for Board It is important to note this is not an exhaustive list and will include other opportunities to explore other key requirements for organisational change and leadership. As an organisation we will also examine the new CQC strategy as to how and what data and evidence we will be required to collate, to ensure we are complaint with the key lines of enquiry and in the best position to maintain our status as an outstanding trust. This will be supported by our regular CQC engagement meetings where we provide a Trust-wide quality update, with specific responses to trust level service questions raised under the broader CQC principles of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led. 7. Conclusion The Trust continues to meet the outcomes required by the CQC under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009. On-going engagement with the CQC, preparedness and self-assessment will ensure continued compliance and assurance of the Trust position. The Board is asked to approve the content of this paper.
