Route of evaluation?

Does the organisation have a current Travel Plan that considers sustainable travel options for patients and visitors? Is there a designated person with responsibility for the operational delivery of sustainability Does the organisation have an equipment recycling scheme (e.g. walking aids) Are outside spaces designed in a manner that promotes biodiversity? Do the trust promote clean air (for example No idle zones) Is the department temperature appropriate (not too hot or cold)

Many travel plans cater only for staff, addressing patient need also is key.

To identify ownership – this does not have to be a full time dedicated role but should be identifiable. The whole lifecycle economy is essential to a greener NHS, reduces costs and promotes greater availability of aids for patients.
